A Quiet Revolution in E-vehicles
------------------------------------------
Rickshaw revolution relies on sound economic principles, rather than govt subsidies. If the business case is found for large vehicles, then private sector city transporters like taxis, couriers or buses will surely follow, and State fleets will be able to buy electric buses without needing subsidies. It makes sense for Govt to quickly set up a network of charging points in cities, and encourage domestic manufacture of electric vehicles.

A potential market is opening up for electric 2-wheelers. Private players are eager to install charging points at metro stations as they believe 2-wheelers will become popular for commuting to and from metro or train stations.
