A. Key proposals
1. Raise income tax thresholds
2. Universal social security ph 1 (min pensions & health)
3. Extend Ayushman Bharat (health insurance) to next tier up the income scale
4. Launch proposed 14 Employment Zones under the port-led development with Rs 1 lakh cr incentive to create jobs
5. Other job creation programmes, eg. skills development, export incentives.
6. Farming:
i) Income benefit for farmers perhaps as part of MGNREGA
ii) Major expansion of post-harvest farm infra, value chains & food processing
iii) Funds for irrigation and river-linking projects

1. Adequate funding for defence acquisitions
